What data we process and why

  1. Order and delivery: name, address, email, phone number where applicable, order data. Purpose: performance of the contract, shipping, customer service, returns. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
  2. Invoices and accounting: order and invoice data. Purpose: statutory retention and tax obligations. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR.
  3. Newsletter: email address, only with your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
  4. Cookies and statistics: We set technically necessary cookies without consent (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). All other cookies are only set if you agree in the cookie banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can change your choice at any time.
  5. Enquiries by email: content and sender, in order to answer your enquiry. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR.

Recipients

  • Shopify (Shopify International Ltd., Ireland): operation of the online shop and checkout.
  • Amazon (Amazon EU S.à r.l., Luxembourg): storage, shipping and returns via Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment.
  • Payment service providers depending on the payment method chosen: Shopify Payments (Stripe), PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., Klarna Bank AB.
  • Mailchimp (Intuit Inc., USA): sending the newsletter, only with consent.
  • Google (Google Ireland Ltd.): email mailbox.
  • n8n (n8n GmbH, Germany, n8n Cloud): automation of returns.
  • Tax advisors and authorities, where required by law.

Transfers to third countries

Some providers also process data outside the EU (e.g. USA, Canada). Such transfers are based on an adequacy decision of the European Commission (including the EU-US Data Privacy Framework) or on EU standard contractual clauses.

Storage period

We store order and invoice data for as long as required by the retention periods under tax and commercial law. Newsletter data until you unsubscribe. We delete other data as soon as the purpose no longer applies.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, as well as the right to withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. To do so, write to hello@dalenahome.com. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority; in Spain, this is the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (www.aepd.es).
