Who is responsible

Orders

When you buy a replacement lid, we process your name, email address, billing and shipping address and your order details to deliver it and to meet our accounting and tax obligations. Legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR). We keep order data for as long as tax and commercial law requires, currently six years in Spain.

Payments

Card payments are processed by Squarespace Payments. We never see or store your full card details.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your email address to send you news about new products and offers, at most once a month. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email or by writing to us; we then delete your address from the list.

Contact

When you write to us by email or through the contact form, we use your details only to answer your request. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or steps prior to a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We delete these messages once they are no longer needed, unless we must keep them for legal reasons.

Website, cookies and statistics

Our website is hosted by Squarespace. When you visit, technical data such as your IP address, browser and the pages you view are processed to deliver the site securely. Statistics cookies are only set if you accept them in the cookie banner; you can change your choice at any time via “Cookie settings”. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure, working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and, for statistics, your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

Spam protection

Our forms use Google reCAPTCHA to tell humans from bots. Google may process your IP address and browser data for this purpose. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in protecting our forms (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Who receives your data

Squarespace (website, shop, payments and email tools), Google (reCAPTCHA), the postal or courier service that delivers your order (for example Correos, SEUR, UPS or FedEx) and our tax advisor (for accounting). Some of these providers process data outside the EU. Where this happens, transfers are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or by EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time for access to, correction, deletion or restriction of your data, object to its processing, and ask for a copy in a portable format. You can withdraw any consent with effect for the future. Just write to hello@dalenahome.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, in Spain the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (aepd.es).
